DUBSTEP- It's What's For Breakfast.

First off lets address the elephant in the room: We have a grammatical error in the building and I know its annoying but lets just move on and pretend he's not staring at us. Now that I think about it our slightly illiterate designer, Sean Brenner, might be onto something. "BreakFAST" SHOULD be spelt "BreakFEAST". The last thing I do, when eating my first meal of the day, is "fast"..... I usually tend to "feast". With that said, we here at xTHE DIRTY HYPEx extend a big middle finger to the English Dictionary and ask one question, "why are you so confusing all the time?"

Today was a record breaking hot day, which means it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL out. Definitely the first signs of summer with the beaches filled and the waves pumping. The first thing I thought to do was call our good friend Chris "Wardo" Ward and see if he wanted to film. We headed down to State Park in San Clemente and like usual Chris got the wave of the day, played on the shore with his beautiful newborn daughter.... and then rushed off to Australia. If that isn't an amazing life I don't know what it is. Above is some footage that him and I compiled in San Clemente and Mainland Mexico and gets the point across that he is one of the best surfers that has ever lived and we are glad to have him on The Dirty Hype Team. Sit back and relax, the next minute of viewing enjoyment is going to take your breathe away. Enjoi.

URGENT MESSAGE: The Dirty Hype has partnered up with JAG Events to bring you an event you won't forget. Thirsty Thursday #4: Snow Summit

Its really crazy how hard it is to make film trips happen sometimes. When it's happening it seems like it's never going to come together: too much negativity, not enough cash, weather isn't ideal, etc. Then in the end it all comes together. The video gets filmed. The weather is perfect. Everyone goes home safe and with a full stomach. It is those kind of outcomes that motivate you to keep doing what you do. Because we all know it doesn't always turn out that pretty. This video is a testament to staying positive and pushing on through adversity. I have an oral fixation.... in more then one sense of the word. Seriously though, I love my Dubstep to be accompanied by some lyrical content. It helps to take away from the reality that I'm listening to robots fight with lasers inside of my speakers. It takes me back to a time when music was made with sounds created by humans..... very primitive, I know. Well, it's that time of year again. The time of year when we like our IQ's low and and our morals even lower. It's Spring Break '08 bitches.... okayyyyyy well maybe I'm the only one still stuck in Spring Break '08 but that's a whole other story. The truth is, we can't be living in the past. We can't be satisfied with the partying that we've already done. We can't throw in the towel because we ALREADY went huge last year or the year before. We have to take this as a personal challenge to really step it up and make some seriously irresponsible decisions. It's SPRING BREAK for god sakes, let loose: drink until you throw up, have sex in public, beat up some dude after you hook up with his chick and then bring him a "Corona" filled with piss. It's THAT sort of commitment that is needed to really take your Spring Break experience to the next level. It's pretty radical when things come together organically, without any signs of force. This video is a perfect example of this. On a lazy day off of the mountain I cruised by my hometown skatepark, barefoot, to see what was going on. Upon my arrival I immediately saw some familiar faces and decided to pull out the camera to see what I could get. Nothing serious. Nothing planned. Nothing to stress over. The boys could just do their thing and if they happened to land something then so be it. It's these kind of stress free film sessions that turn out to make the best videos. There's no use in trying to control ANYTHING. It's so much better to just let go of the steering wheel and let life run it's course. Not LITERALLY. That would cause for some hectic traffic on the freeway. But the truth is, once you have lost everything you are free to do anything. No control means no limitations. No limitations mean endless possibilities. Now, I'm not saying lets all turn into anarchists and take over the streets. Moderation is the name of the game. I'm just stressing the fact that being controlled is bullsh*t. Fu*k being "complete"... fu*k being "perfect". We need to evolve and create our own definition of "complete".... paint our own picture of "perfection". The evolution of music has been interesting to say the least. At the end of the day there is NOTHING as good as a CLASSIC HIT FROM THE PAST. Music from the days BEFORE dance music was an epic force sweeping over the globe. Before that, there was this thing that everyone has forgotten about: Rock and Roll. So when I hear these same songs remixed I love it because it brings me RIGHT back to a specific moment in my life that i heard the original. It's a truly unexplainably amazing phenomenon that a song can bring you back to a specific happy instant in your past. Music is amazing like that. It can evoke the happiest of emotions so easily. Ryan Sheckler and Tony Panici: PSYCHO THRILLS

Our very good friends Ryan Sheckler and Tony Panici just ventured overseas to Estonia where they competed in the SIMPLE SESSION 2011. The set up looked straight up frightening... everything was built on a VERY large scale. I definitely WOULD NOT be able to put together a run on that course like that. Yet to NO ONES surprise Tony and Ryan went out there, fearless as usual, and put on a show. I bet you can't get guess who won!?! ALRIGHT, you most definitely CAN guess because it seems like he wins EVERYTHING! Ryan walked away with the victory, capping off his run with a huge BACKFLIP. He never ceases to amaze the world and for that reason we love him. Ryan and Tony have returned home, safe and sound, and we are happy to have them back. As a sign of our gratitude for representing SAN CLEMENTE so well overseas, we are dedicating this post to them. The above video shows what their life is like when they are enjoying the beautiful beach town that they call home. I Can't Get That F*cking Song Out Of My Head: DIPLO

I seriously can't get this f*cking song out of my head, and you know why? Because DIPLO produced it. The man is a genius. The quality of production on the songs he's delivering us is as good as it gets and we here at xTDHx love every last second he blesses us with. While I was out in Denver, Colorado at the end of last month I actually had the pleasure of seeing him perform on my BIRTHDAY which was heavenly. When I got home from that trip I stumbled across the new song he produced for DIE ANTWOORD, titled "Evil Boy". It's crazy how much this song grows on you. I LIKED it the first time I heard it..... but now after listening to it 50 times: I LOVE it. If you don't know who Die Antwoord is then you are missing out on the most interesting music in the whole world, so get with it. There are few voices that I come across nowadays that are truly impressive. Despite that fact, Ellie Gouliding is one of those pop singers that will go down in history as one of the best singers of all time. She HAS to be the most remixed voice in pop music. I continually find gems of hers remixed and remastered amazingly.... almost everyday. The most surprising part is I DO NOT get bored of it because her voice is so amazing.

The sad thing is: There is no amount of reason that can combat a psychotic female mid cock block. For this reason you can't let guy/girl ratios get out of hand when trying to seal the deal. You have to maneuver wisely to avoid the common hater. They are like a virus and if you don't contain the problem, this hater's negativity will spread like wildfire and infect the entire environment surrounding it. Through my experiences in life I have found the best way to deal with this virus like issue is to douse it with a bucket of cold water/ice and tell it to shut up..... 60% of the time it works.... every time.
